THEODORE

Theodore is an energetic two year old corgi. He love to play catch and play tug of war. Enjoys playing at the dog park specially when we get to hang out with other corgis.

MESA

Mesa is 3 yrs old. Loves to run and play with his herding ball, he is super fast while running with it and has excellent control of it. I feel he would be a great racer due to his speed and athleticism as well as his focus.

OSKAR

Mr. Oskar is your previous overall 2nd place winner from 2025 and 1st place winner from 2024 derby! Don’t let this big dawg fool you, the extra weight moves like butter on a pan when he gets into race mode. Oskar will be 5 years old this year. He loves eating horse poo, antagonizing his 15 yr old dog cousin, and going anywhere with mom & dad. He HATES birds and the coyotes that venture close to the house. Make sure to come say hi to him on race day and he’ll give you a corgi wave hello!

FREYJA

Freyja turns 2 years old on May 1. She enjoys hiking and meetups with the Colorado Corgi Playgroup. Freyja loves the snow and eats what she can and rolls in the rest. In the summer, Freyja is an avid grasshopper collector.

CLARK

We love Colorado and take full advantage of everything it throws at us—hiking, camping, paddle boarding, skiing and snowboarding. If it’s outside, we’re in… and Clark is right there with us, supervising.Clark is a proud Corgi and a very serious protector. He fearlessly defends us from hallway noises, horses on the TV, suspicious leaves, and the constant danger of absolutely nothing. His bark is so powerful it occasionally launches him off the ground. Including Clark in everything we do is kind of our thing, so racing alongside his fellow loafs feels like the ultimate adventure. While he may not be our only dog in this lifetime, we are his entire life—and we plan to fill it with speed, snacks and as many shared adventures as possible.

CHURRO

Churro is a 4 month old fluffball. He loves bark chips, socks, rugs and houseplants. His constant zoomies make him a perfect contender. That and the fact that he loves an excuse to wear a costume. He's never met an animal he didn't love and he also love kiddos. He's working on his influencer status with his instagram @churrothefloof and in the meantime he's happy to do pretty much anything for a treat. ![](https://www.instagram.com/p/DUCap5hlR-e/)

THEO

Theo is a high-energy corgi who embodies the herding dog spirit with speed, heart, and enthusiasm. A natural competitor who loves both people and fellow racers, he’s always in motion and thrives in high-energy environments. At 5 years old, Theo has been sprinting through life since puppyhood. Originally from Dallas, he’s fully embraced the mile high lifestyle.

KARL

Karl is a big 5 year old boy. Karl loves to chase his younger kitty brother, sledding with mommy, paddle boarding with Daddy and has raced with Little Stumps Racing at the Denver Broncos games.

EEVEE

Eevee: The Low-Riding Legend
Age: 10 Years Young
Fuel: 50% Cheese, 50% Hot Dogs, 100% Steel
Don’t let the stubby legs fool you, she is a high-performance racing machine. Built low to the ground for maximum aerodynamics, she’s a blur of fur fueled by the promise of a snack.
Attack moves:
•The Power Bark: One sharp "woof" and treats appear.
•The Sprint: She doesn't just run; she teleports if a fridge door opens.
•The Build: Short legs, heart of a champion, and a stomach that never says no.
Eevee: Racing for treats since 2016.

BENEDICT

Benedict “Benny” is a 5 year old corgi, born in Utah and now lives in Highlands Ranch! Benny’s full time job is keeping his mom company while she works from home and his hobbies include putting his ball under furniture, chasing rabbits, barking at literally any outside noise and sleeping, preferably on multiple pillows. We consider Benny to be an XL corgi, weighing in at a healthy 45lbs! We joke he has “long legs” which makes him a perfect candidate for racing. He’s quite speedy!

OLIVE

Olive is a 3-year-old corgi fueled primarily by noodles and chaos. She loves hiking, paddle boarding, swimming—basically anything involving water—plus camping and barking at absolutely nothing. At the dog park she takes her self-appointed job of herding everyone and everything very seriously while occasionally breaking the sound barrier. Her nightly zoomies double as elite race training, so she’s feeling very prepared.

WALTER

Walter is a 4 year old male welsh corgi. He enjoys watching YouTube videos and chasing squirrels. He loves attention and getting belly rubs. He is very fast but suffers from corgi-adhd and sometimes gets distracted by camera people or thinks it’s play time: He has races the last two years at the mini derby but both times ran over to the camera for a selfie.

PENELOPE

Introducing Penelope “The Fluff Rocket” 🐾🚀 At 6.5 years old, this Pembroke Welsh Corgi is low to the ground but HIGH on horsepower. Born for adventure and raised in the wild (aka Deer Creek Canyon, Colorado), Penelope has been living life in the fast lane since she was just 8 weeks old. From boating the Colorado waterways to snowmobiling tucked inside her dad’s ski jacket, she’s basically a tiny adrenaline junkie with a fabulous fur coat. When she’s not supervising heavy machinery like a seasoned foreman (tractors, excavators—you name it), Penelope is in full training mode—sprinting the mountain roads at altitude like she’s prepping for the Corgi Olympics. Don’t let the short legs fool you… this girl has TURBO. Fueled by squeaky toys, crinkly snacks, and a deep love of lunchmeat, Penelope is equal parts athlete, diva, and crowd favorite. Catch her if you can… but don’t blink—you might miss her. 💨

FAUCI

Fauci is the fastest loaf of wonderbread this side of the Mississippi. He enjoys begging for table scraps, barking at trash bags, chasing orange chuck it balls across fields of grass, and doing downward dog in freezing alpine steams. He’s a 5 year old potato and my best friend! He’s an excellent racer because like his mommy, he’ll do just about anything for a little treat.

HENRY

Henry is a two year old racing machine. He has his local dog park whipped into shape, and he gets his daily practice in at home racing his two kitty siblings, constantly. While he may be small, he is mighty. His simple pleasures include hearing the ice maker turn on, long walks - as long as it's under 70 - around Sloan's Lake, carrots, and his BFF Otto, who is four times his size.
